TR-069 and ACS

The platform has a built-in ACS (GenieACS). Each OLT gets a TR-069 profile: ACS through the tunnel (http://10.250.0.1:7547) or the hub's public address. ONUs connect at authorization or with the “Connect to ACS” button; auto-connect every 10 minutes finds ONUs missing from the ACS.

What the network needs

  • A Mgmt VLAN with DHCP for ONUs and a route from that network to the ACS (through the tunnel nothing needs to be opened).
  • Remote ACL on the OLT (security-mgmt) so the ACS can send a Connection Request to the ONU.

Model specifics

  • ZTE F6xx, Huawei HG8xxx: TR-069 comes up automatically via OMCI from the OLT.
  • Some OEM models (CTC/ITMS firmware) need a WAN connection with the TR069 service inside the ONU, created in its web interface or via OMCI (wan-ip … / wan … service tr069).

What the platform stores

Wi-Fi and passwords set by the provider are remembered: after the subscriber resets the router they are restored on the first Inform.
